Hot. Can’t think.

One of you gentle readers tapped me on the shoulder the other day and said I hadn’t posted any crafts or recipes in a looooooong time.

*sigh*

I know.

I was hoping no one had noticed.

I blame the heat: who can think about cooking and cutting?

My short attention span means I’m easily distracted these days, I can’t focus on lengthy projects, and I admit much of me would really rather be on vacation, too, just like many of my students.

If you’re still inclined to cook – yay for you! – check out the stunningly well-crafted 101 Simple Vegan Meals Ready in 10 Minutes or Less.

I so love this list (and the blog it’s on) even if I can’t easily get most of the ingredients, because the original list published last year was likely intended for a non-vegetarian crowd.

To be fair, I think the New York Times author, Mark Bittman, was more veggie friendly with this year’s summer list, and he does say his recipes are meant to be guides only. Check out his list of 101 20-Minute Dishes for Inspired Picnics.

But, yes, again, here’s the vegan version.

Okay, I need to park myself in front of a big block of ice now.
