WordPress (this blog’s host) recently (April 2008) started a feature called “Possibly Related Posts”, which connects WordPress posts/blogs to each other via automatically generated links.
At the end of some posts you may see “Possibly Related Posts”. The key word is “possibly”.
I’m having mixed reactions about this feature.
It’s currently an all-or-nothing feature: I can not disable some links while retaining others, and if I disable the feature completely from my blog, I am, in turn, not appearing on blogs that don’t mind the feature.
I will leave this feature up for a few days to see what happens. If I don’t like it, it’s gone.
Comments?
Well, you know the great American saying, “No press is bad press,” and certainly most recent U.S. presidential administrations have used it to great advantage. Thinking of links as “press,” more links is probably not a bad thing, going or coming.
In any case, educators like us (Can I say I am like you? I really hope I am!!) tend to be quite ecclectic anyway, and more likely than not we would run into more interesting stuff even if it wasn’t necessarily what we started out looking for… or it might even be EXACTLY what we were looking for and we didn’t even know it!
Is this the kind of reply YOU were looking for???

I just discovered some links to non-kid-friendly sites, so this goes bye-bye for a while. Might be back.
