Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Fudge Recipe

Bond. James Bond.

Bang Bang. Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

chitty-chitty-bang-bangIan Fleming, who wrote all that James Bond stuff, wrote CCBB, his only children’s book, and the book included a recipe for fudge.

Please note: your dentist and your pediatrician would really prefer it if you did not eat fudge.

But if you’ve read CCBB all the way up to this fudge recipe, well then I think you really must take a break and make some fudge.

Does James Bond eat fudge? I can’t imagine that he would have time for such fun.

P.S. Yes, there is a movie version of CCBB. Much much fun. Especially that kitchen. I want that kitchen!

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Fudge

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 tablespoons cocoa
  • ¼ pound butter or margarine
  • 2 teaspoons light corn syrup
  • 1 small can evaporated milk
  • 1 teaspoon water

1) Mix all ingredients and stir over low heat.

2) Cook to soft ball stage when dropped in cold water.

3) Beat by hand until mixture loses gloss. Chopped nuts can be added.

4) Pour into a greased 8×8-inch pan.

5) Cut into pieces. Cool.
