New Year. First Sunrise.

Mornings or evenings? Mornings!

Sunrises or sunsets? Sunrises!

Beaches or mountains? Mountains!

Where do you live? In Japan!

Where many people…? Climb Mt. Fuji at night to watch the sunrise!

And this beautiful ritual is especially meaningful on…? New Year’s Eve!

What is this first sunrise of the new year called? Hatsuhinode! 初日の出!

You’ve spent how many New Year’s Eves in Japan? I don’t know!

You’ve climbed Mt. Fuji how many times? Zero!

Why? It’s cold up there…………………
