It’s time for scones!

I am addicted to Tesco‘s scone mix.

I can eat freshly baked scones about 30 minutes after I open the box.

This is not good for my waistline.

A scone (rhymes with phone and gone) is in the same family as muffins, which means they’re easy to make, easy to bake and easy to eat.

Like muffins, the typical scone recipe is versatile and very forgiving when you start to experiment, which is really helpful for young cooks. This is Tesco’s non-mix recipe. There are a bazillion other variations online and in cookbooks and at your local bakery and everywhere else.

Hey, a vegan version from the BBC.
