Look, orchestra! No hands!

Watch the conductor’s baton!

That’s probably the 3rd rule I learned in orchestra. (Sit up straight and stop giggling were the first two, I think.)

So…when the conductor waves nary an arm and instead fixes you with a Kojak-like stare, what do you do??? I for one would never never ever volunteer for a solo…..
