Chocolate Banana Puffs

Set your kids to making this while you help as needed.

I’d help, too, but that banana mixture would never ever make it to the puff pastry step if I did.



Chocolate Banana Puffs

1. Mix together:

  • 1/3 cup 3/8-inch diced banana
  • 2 Tablespoons chopped pecans
  • 1 Tablespoon honey
  • 2 Tablespoons semisweet chocolate chips

2. Set aside.

3. On a floured surface, roll out a 4-ounce sheet of puff pastry into a 6-inch by 9-inch rectangle.

4. Cut into squares.

5. Press squares into a buttered 6-portion muffin pan.

6. Prick pastry bottoms (tongue twister alert!) with a fork.

7. Divide banana mixture into 6 portions. Place into pastry squares.

8. Bake at 400 °F (204 °C) for 15 minutes.

9. Top each with whipped cream and garnish with strawberries.
