Frozen Bananas Ice Cream

Frozen bananas ice cream? As in: just the frozen banana in a blender?

You’ve already tried this yummy-ness, yes?

I think I started freezing bananas a whole bunch (ahem…) of years ago in Hawaii. Whenever I had too many bananas, I’d peel them and stuff them in the freezer until I was ready to use them. I don’t know now where I learned to do that.

I’d puree the frozen bananas, intending to use them in a recipe (goes great in muffins, for example), but almost always I’d inhale it all right out of the blender (unplugged first, yes).

And so yippee yay that other people have been discovering this version of ice cream.

You, too?

1. Peel the banana.

2. Chop it.

3. Freeze for an hour or two.

4. Plunk it in the blender. Blend. Eat.

5. Sigh.
