Quick dessert: Lemonade Pie

About 20 minutes before dinner, call the kids in, park them in a corner of the kitchen, and set them to work making Lemonade Pie.

They should finish right when dinner is ready, so send them off to wash up while you pop the pie into the refrigerator.

Avoid plowing through dinner, because this pie needs at least 30 minutes to chill.

When it’s time for dessert, thank the kids for contributing to the meal. Then joyfully assure them it won’t be long before they get to prepare the entire meal! Yay!

[Thank you, Pillows a la Mode!]
