Ring around Thumbkin. A handful of acorn pumpkins

Acorn pumpkins!

Not to be confused with acorn squash, no.

*Pop off the caps (those make terrific whistles, remember?) and paint the acorns.

Squirrels will go nuts (ahem) if you have a large stash of acorns squirreled away (ahem ahem), but no, you can’t bring painted acorns back outside for random people to find.

Instead, start a project to line up mini pumpkins all the way down to the principal’s office.

Or you and the students can quietly hand these out whenever you catch a student being kind and helpful.

Or you can just stick them all in a pretty glass vase and grin uncontrollably at them.

[Spoonful]

*Not a fan of weevils? Bake the acorns first.
