I’ve finally had a chance to catch up on some of the week’s news, and say hey I hope you, too, have heard Simon Fluegel‘s latest piece! It’s called B-Flat, and oh it is simply divine!
The effort that must have gone into composing such a piece! I can’t imagine! The trombone section is particularly intense and riveting. I can’t wait for the Canadian documentary film about it to appear!
Oh and yes, Fluegel’s earlier work – his two-note cello concerto – is perfect for toddlers. This concerto was never performed, regrettably, but you might be able to find a copy of the score and learn it yourself. Then you really must teach it to your little ones.
So go click on that link. Have a read, have a listen, have an enormous laugh.
Giggle giggle giggle.
