He’s 4 years old, and he’s been addicted to books for at least half his life.
After class, he flipped through nearly every page of a book on chindogu, asking his mom to explain the gadgets he didn’t understand.
Understandably he was immediately fascinated by the Hold-it Helmet: a construction worker’s hard hat has a flexible metal arm clipped to the front brim. The opposite end splits into a T shape, and clips at either end are strong enough to hold a book.
Hands-free reading.
“That’s what you need!” his mom exclaimed.
“I do?” he asked.
“Yes! You’re always reading books!”
“I am!” he replied.
“Maybe we can stop by the hardware store on the the way home. We’ll pick up some materials and try to make this, ok?”
“OK!”
